Job Description:

Epworth HealthCare is seeking an experienced Grade 3 Neuropsychologist to join our team on a casual basis.

Based at our Richmond acute hospital, this exciting opportunity combines clinical expertise with team leadership. As the Grade 3 Clinical Neuropsychologist Team Leader, you will oversee the acute psychology team while maintaining a clinical caseload.  

You will be an integral part of the Richmond Allied Health team and report directly to the Allied Health Manager. This role offers the opportunity to lead and shape psychological services in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment dedicated to delivering high quality patient care.

You will make an impact by:

  • Providing effective and empathetic leadership to Grade 2 neuropsychology and clinical psychology staff
  • Expert knowledge and expertise in neuropsychological assessments and interventions
  • Collaborating with other health clinicians to develop and grow services based on best practice
  • A flexible mindset to meet the many clinical needs of our patients
  • Be naturally proactive and responsive to changing patient profiles and service demand
  • A drive for quality improvement and ongoing professional development

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in neuropsychological assessments and interventions in a broad range of clinical presentations, including neurodegenerative conditions, delirium, encephalitis, stroke, ABI, and oncology
  • Hospital experience, and ability to adjust assessments/interventions to an inpatient setting (desirable)
  • Recent experience in a leadership role is preferred but not essential
  • Experience in student and/or staff supervision, with PsyBA approved supervisor status

Qualifications:
  • A Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Neuropsychology
  • General psychologist registration with AHPRA and endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology
  • Registration as a Board approved supervisor with AHPRA
