Opportunity Overview
The Treasury department is responsible for managing the capital and liquidity of the firm, enabling strategic investments and ensuring the strength of the balance sheet. As part of that objective, the department is responsible for all cash activities of the firm, borrowing and investment to meet cash needs and managing bank and counterparty relationships.
All firm settlements with trading partners and clearing houses, as well as all intercompany and interbank transfers are managed by the Treasury department, as are investing excess operational cash (both U.S. and Canada operations). Treasury also manages FX risk management transactions, investment of client cash pools and partners closely with business areas on business initiatives. Additionally, the department is also responsible for risk oversight and control to protect the assets of the firm and support the growth objectives.
What you will do:
- Develop and communicate the Vision, Strategy, Objectives and Measures for area, assuring accountability and alignment to Finance and Firm objectives.
- Help evolve systems and processes to be efficient, effective, scalable, and flexible to meet the changing needs of our complex branch network and matrixed home office environment, which includes partnering with Digital product team as well as streamlining operations and enhancing business value delivered.
- Formal or informal development and leadership of associates and leaders.
- Partner with business areas on firm and finance initiatives to influence direction and ensure changes are effectively implemented and communicated, which may involve leading or active participation in large firm/Division projects to represent area/Division needs.
- Management of cash/investment portfolios, financing transactions, credit/derivative agreements and banking relationships.
- Champion innovation, operational efficiency and effectiveness (process improvement) and a strong internal control environment where controls are developed, implemented, documented and followed.
- Understand firm's capital structure, model projected sources and uses of capital. Develop and communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

Position Requirements
- BS/BA degree required
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in Finance, Treasury, Cash Management or related field
- Leadership/management experience required
- Experience with treasury and ERP software/system desired
- Strong leadership, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to present and communicate information to varied levels of leadership
- Advanced degree or certification
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation strongly preferred
- Financial services industry experience
Associate's working hours must align to 8 am to 5 pm Central standard time.
**Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.**
Current INTERNAL home-based associates: While this role is posted as hybrid, if selected and accepted, you may retain your home-based status. Edward Jones intends in good faith to continue offering the role as home-based, though future business or regulatory needs may require on-site work.
