· Must have a thorough knowledge of generators, transformers and AC and DC power
· Must have a thorough knowledge of wire sizes and the capacity of each.
· Must be capable of properly setting up, and using electrical test equipment (i.e. voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, phase rotation meters and meggers).
· Must be capable of reading and interpreting blue prints and wiring diagrams.
· Must have the ability to conduct tests or checkpoints on completed work.
· Must have some leadership and supervisory abilities, and supervises small work groups as required.
· Must be able to determine material and man power requirements.
· Must have significant experience in marine electrical work.
· Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits aboard ship and at the shipyard facility.
· Must demonstrate the ability to perform complex hook ups and installations on Navy shipboard equipment.
· Should have working knowledge of Navy Standard Items.
· Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
· Must demonstrate the proper use of hand tools and test equipment and knowledge of safety in relation to electrical circuits.
· Must demonstrate reliability in the performance of overtime and critical jobs.
· The level of proficiency and experience is determined by and at the discretion of the Electrical Manager.
· Must be aware of, and comply with the Company’s safety rules.
· May be assigned miscellaneous tasks outside craft as required.
· Must be able to meet the physical requirements and have the proper tools that are listed in the tool requirements.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $44720 - $78520
