The Security Project Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and completion of integrated security projects — ensuring installations meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards. This individual acts as the bridge between sales, field operations, and the customer, providing leadership through all project phases from kickoff to closeout.

Stakeholder Management
• Serve as the primary relationship manager for project stakeholders, maintaining consistent communication on progress, risks, and project health.
• Lead scoping conversations to identify customer needs for new installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Act as the internal advocate for customer priorities, coordinating with sales, programming, and service teams.
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships that drive satisfaction, retention, and new business.
• Manage customer accounts beyond active project scopes to identify opportunities for process improvement and future growth.
• Ensure complete customer satisfaction through quality delivery, responsiveness, and performance of installed systems.
Project Estimation & Procurement
• Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and site conditions to confirm installation requirements, identify risks, and brief technicians on execution expectations prior to mobilization
• Partner with Sales team to validate labor hours, materials, and scope alignment prior to proposal submission.
• Maintain and improve historical labor data, cost sheets, and rate cards to enhance accuracy and turnaround time.
• Manage procurement by issuing purchase orders, tracking shipments, and coordinating with the warehouse and field teams.
Project Oversight & Execution
• Define and document project scopes, timelines, budgets, and deliverables in alignment with internal teams and clients.
• Lead internal kickoff meetings to ensure clear expectations and resource alignment.
• Coordinate communication between field technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and customers to maintain project momentum.
• Oversee scheduling, milestone tracking, change orders, and billing coordination in collaboration with accounting and operations.
• Monitor project financials and performance metrics, identifying and mitigating risks proactively.
• Ensure all phases of project execution meet Toepfer’s quality, safety, and compliance standards.
• Manage subcontractors for out-of-town installations and services.
Service Coordination
• Collaborate with the Service Department to manage open service requests and complete open punch list items.
• Track completion, invoicing, and documentation using ServiceTitan or related systems.
• Support customer satisfaction through timely and professional follow-up on open issues.
Technical Support
• Provide basic technical assistance, including system troubleshooting or programming support for C•CURE 9000, Genetec, Brivo, or ExacqVision systems.
• Serve as a liaison between customers and Toepfer’s programming team to ensure accurate resolutions.
Continuous Improvement
• Lead and support process improvement initiatives across estimating, procurement, and delivery workflows.
• Share best practices within the project management team to promote consistency and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for personal development and contribute to a high-performance, accountability-driven culture.
You've got what it takes if you have...
• Experience in project management, estimating, or account management in construction, security integration, or a related technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, scopes, and schedules.
• Strong understanding of physical security systems (access control, CCTV, intrusion).
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Smartsheet) and Excel.
• Current driver’s license and ability to pass background and drug screenings.
• Willingness to travel to job sites and accommodate flexible scheduling.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Competitive Base Salary of $90,000 - $95,000 per year, plus up to a $10,000 bonus potential.

LOCATION
Toepfer Security is based in Waukesha, WI. Travel up to 2 hours to job sites in the surrounding area may be required (within the SE Region of WI). Additionally, there may be rare opportunities to travel out of the region to support customers and/or contractors across the country.
