Job Summary

The principal enterprise architect of agentic automation leads the day-to-day operating framework that scales agentic automation across the enterprise. The role transforms strategy into execution by standardizing intake and triage, building guardrails, expanding federated capabilities across DMCs/departments, and stewarding the Citizen Development Program. Success looks like predictable delivery, measurable value (ROI/KPIs), and a continuously improving “push-led” pipeline that advances enterprise goals rather than relying primarily on crowdsourced intake.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Operate the Agentic Operations & Enablement function that underpins the Enterprise Automation program.
  • Translate enterprise automation and agentic strategy into standard processes, playbooks, and delivery cadences.
  • Drive a push-oriented pipeline aligned to business objectives and ROI; supplement with high-quality pull intake when appropriate.
  • Stay current on RPA, LLMs, and agentic orchestration trends to inform roadmaps and operating methods.

Program Development

  • Define program KPIs and balanced scorecards (e.g., cycle time, accuracy, adoption, deflection, cost savings, risk reduction, satisfaction).
  • Build value models and ROI calculators for agentic use cases; maintain benefit realization tracking post-go-live.
  • Standardize and optimize operating practices across the portfolio (intake → triage → discovery → design → build → test → deploy → run).
  • Establish and maintain controls and guardrails for security, compliance, data access, and safe use of autonomous/semi-autonomous agents.
  • Grow and support federated automation teams across DMCs/departments with shared standards, reusable components, and coaching.
  • Expand and steward the Citizen Development Program with curricula, certification paths, governance tiers, and reusable “agent patterns.”

Advocacy & Education

  • Advocate for RPA/AI/agentic solutions through enablement briefings, roadshows, and community forums.
  • Lead top-down (executive- and service-line-driven) and bottoms-up (frontline- and citizen-led) ideation streams, curating into a single prioritized pipeline.
  • Build trust and credibility with internal and external stakeholders (vendors, ecosystem partners, advisory groups) to accelerate safe, scalable adoption.

Team & Relationship Management

  • Lead a small cross-functional team (analysts, coordinators, federated contributors) to identify and qualify automation opportunities.
  • Provide mentorship on process assessment, agentic design patterns, documentation quality, and delivery best practices.
  • Manage iterative stakeholder engagement: schedule and run ideation sessions, discovery workshops, and executive updates.
  • Conduct high-level process assessments to generate pipeline and perform use-case evaluations with clear acceptance criteria.

Program Coordination & Delivery

  • Coordinate with Automation Hub leadership on portfolio progress, dependencies, and risk/issue management.
  • Oversee administrative facets: vendor relationships, SOW coordination, licensing inventories, budget tracking, and resource plans.
  • Create detailed project plans, RAID logs, and milestone trackers; maintain dashboards for status, risks, KPIs, and value realization.
  • Measure project performance with appropriate tools and techniques; publish recurring reports and escalate issues with actionable options.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5–8 years in automation operations, business process management, digital transformation, or PMO/enablement roles.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath/Power Automate), LLM-driven/agentic orchestration concepts, and enterprise integration basics.
  • Operational Excellence: Proven ability to standardize processes, manage intake/triage, and run measurement/benefits realization.
  • Stakeholder Skills: Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship management across clinical/operational/IT stakeholders and vendor partners.
  • Governance Mindset: Comfort with controls, compliance, and change management for autonomous/semi-autonomous systems.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field; master’s preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience building or scaling an automation enablement function, PMO, or citizen development program.
  • Portfolio evidence of KPI design, ROI modeling, and value tracking for automation initiatives.

Competencies

  • Agentic Literacy: Understand when to apply autonomous vs. human-in-the-loop patterns and how to design guardrails.
  • Program Rigor: Habit of codifying standards, templates, and reusable assets for predictable outcomes.
  • Value Orientation: Bias toward measurable results, transparent metrics, and credible storytelling of impact.
  • Change Leadership: Able to coach teams, reduce friction, and grow confidence in working with digital agents.
