Join our vibrant campus community as a Graduate Assistant-Residence Life, where you will play a vital role in fostering a supportive, Christ-centered living environment for our students. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills, engage in meaningful student interactions, and contribute to the growth and development of both residents and staff. As a live-on position, it provides an immersive experience that combines professional development with personal growth within a faith-based community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Area Coordinator in leading and supervising undergraduate Resident Assistants within the residence hall.
- Develop and implement living-learning programs that promote a Christ-centered community and enhance student development.
- Support the planning and execution of residence life activities and events that foster community engagement.
- Meet with students for general counseling, guidance, and support to promote their well-being and success.
- Facilitate Resident Assistant staff selection, training, supervision, and ongoing development.
- Collaborate with campus departments to ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming living environment.
- Assist in addressing student conduct issues and promote positive community standards.
- Contribute to the assessment and improvement of residence life programs and initiatives.
- Serve in our ResLIfe oncall rotation
Skills and Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a graduate program at the institution.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Experience in student leadership, counseling, or residence life preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently.
- Commitment to fostering a Christ-centered community and supporting student spiritual growth.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed.
- On-campus residency is required for this position.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education, ministry, or related field
- Desire to pursue Greenville University graduate program.
- Experience in Student Development or desire to pursue a degree in a related field.
- Agreement with the purpose of Greenville University and demonstration of a mature Christian faith.
- Leadership, initiative, strong written and verbal communication skills, and administrative ability.
- Ability to work as a member of the Residence Life Senior Staff and Community Life team.
This role would recieve a $10,000 a year stipend in addition to free housing and tuition.
