Business Segment Overview:
Commercial: With boots on the ground authenticity at the heart of everything we do, our comprehensive array of commercial products and services enable you to work directly with our clients, across hedging, risk management, execution and clearing, OTC products, commodity finance and more.
Position purpose: The position is for a Precious Metals eCommerce bookrunner covering the Americas session (8am to 5pm, New York time). The candidate will monitor the electronic trading platform and work on improving pricing and hedging to maximize P&L within the existing risk management framework. They will also help the desk with manual orders over the phone, chats, and emails. They need to be a team player with a can-do attitude and strong communication skills.
The candidate will need to build an in-depth understanding of all the systems and processes making up the eCommerce trading platform. They should be conscientious, pay attention to details, work autonomously, and be able to perform under pressure. Knowledge of data analysis and Python programming are required for this role. Curiosity, problem-solving skills, and ability to deal with complex systems are also essential.
The role will be based in London for at least 6-12 months, with the possibility of transferring to the New York office later
Responsibilities:Primary duties:
- Monitor the eCommerce trading book during Americas hours and ensure risk stays within agreed limits at all times
- Analyze large data sets using Python and suggest improvements to pricing and hedging to maximize P&L within risk constraints
- Help the desk with manual orders
- Identify production issues and react quickly while communicating accurately and efficiently with relevant stakeholders

To land this role you will need:
- Strong knowledge of data analysis and Python programming
- Self-motivated, creative thinker who can suggest robust solutions to complex issues
What makes you stand out:
- Knowledge of the Precious Metals market
- Experience with trading platforms and/or automated trading systems
- Experience on a trading desk, managing risk and/or taking client orders
Education / Certification Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in STEM or Economics
Working Environment:
- 4 days per week onsite
- Ability to work and manage risk autonomously under pressure
- Be a reliable team player who can communicate effectively
Hiring Salary Range $75,000 - $120,000. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data.) Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan. This compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
