JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Director of Digital Product Management to lead strategy, development, and execution for digital financial services and back-office solutions. This leader will own all aspects of digital payments, settlement, and reconciliation of transactions, while driving innovation across consumer-facing platforms (e.g. Payments SDK, Stripe Integration, 7-Eleven Wallet, Back-Office Tech) and internal retail technologies. The ideal candidate is customer-obsessed, business-savvy, and data-driven, capable of scaling product innovation through strong leadership and stakeholder collaboration.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Vision & Strategy: Define and own the product vision and roadmap for digital financial services and back-office digital initiatives in alignment with 7-Eleven US’ business strategy

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of several product managers, fostering a high-performing, customer-first culture

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee end-to-end lifecycle of consumer-facing products (Stripe integration, Payments SDK, 7-Eleven Wallet, Back-Office solutions) and internal tools for efficiency

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, design, and data teams to deliver high-quality, impactful products

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work with stakeholders to align product goals with organizational objectives and influence decisions through strong storytelling and negotiation.

  • Customer-Centric Design: Drive product design and validation using market research, customer feedback, and usability studies.

  • Capability Building: Scale product management practices within the 7-Eleven environment, focusing on talent development and succession planning

  • Governance & Metrics: Establish and evangelize product management best practices, KPIs, and frameworks across the organization

  • Change Leadership: Champion digital transformation and change management initiatives across the enterprise

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with a strong background in consumer-facing and internal platforms

  • Proven success delivering products in retail tech domains (eCommerce, wallets, mobile apps, delivery services)

  • Experience with store technology and back-office systems is a strong plus

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and grow cross-functional teams with direct and indirect reporting lines

  • Strong understanding of customer-centric design, UX research, and agile delivery methodologies

  • Familiarity with data tools and analytics for decision-making

Key Skills Required

  • Digital Retail & eCommerce Expertise: Deep understanding of digital retail platforms, omnichannel strategies, and customer experience

  • Product Management Excellence: Proven track record in product strategy, roadmap development, and lifecycle management

  • Agile & Lean Methodologies: Hands-on experience with agile development, scrum, and lean startup principles

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to leverage analytics, A/B testing, and customer insights for product decisions

  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for managing senior leadership and cross-functional teams

  • Team Leadership: Experience building and leading high-performing product teams at scale

  • Change Management: Ability to drive organizational change and digital transformation

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills for complex business challenges

Desired Competencies:

  • Education: MBA or advanced degree in Business, Technology, or related fields

  • Experience with product discovery frameworks (Design Thinking, etc)

  • Exposure to modern tools for roadmap planning, experimentation, and user feedback management
