Durham Academy is accepting applications for a part-time MS baseball head coach and a part-time MS baseball assistant coach (grades 7-8).  The season runs from mid-February through early May.  Both positions are seasonal and report to the Varsity Baseball Head Coach and the Director of Athletics.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the instruction of our JV baseball team to include:

    • Running tryouts and team selection

    • Creating and executing game strategy

    • Distributing equipment and uniforms in conjunction with the Athletics Office

    • Explaining rules and regulations

  • In charge of supervising student-athletes

  • Drive a minibus to all road games

  • Communicate regularly via email with student-athletes and parents about logistics and updates

  • Regular communication and collaboration with the Varsity baseball head coach


Ideal candidates will have prior scholastic coaching experience.  Candidates should expect a regular weekday practice commitment that typically runs from 3:30-5:00 p.m. plus two or three games per week. Most road games are not more than 45 minutes away from Durham Academy.
