Reports to: VP of Finance & Risk Management
Position Summary: Manage mission-critical technologies across manufacturing and production platforms. Actively lead and manage staff responsible for intercompany and production platforms, platform security, and third-party application technologies. Oversee the environment to ensure timely and high-quality customer support. Manage capacity to ensure that hardware platforms, core technologies, and hybrid environments are prepared for expansion and positioned for rapid growth and scalability.

Areas of Accountability:
- Confer with and advise staff on standards, operating policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities, and methods
- Develop cooperative and supportive relationships with senior-level personnel from inside and outside the company for delivery of appropriate systems
- Develop relationships with vendors and PDM management for procurement and sharing of products and services
- Ensure technical accuracy, feasibility and identify technical issues that may impact the company goals
- Responsible for product recommendation and selection of computer hardware and software
- Plan new systems and enhance present telecommunications
- Plan and maintain a technological road map that ensures the system’s uptime is met
- Maintain a thorough functional and operational knowledge of operating systems, control systems, new developments in hardware, new program products and new directions in the manufacturing industry
- Manage assigned staff and provide for their training and development related to their job responsibilities.
- Administer and monitor department operating budget.
- Maintain adequate server, system, and application security practices
- Formalize and oversee the process of reporting incidents related to issues in the data communications and computer systems areas that have a negative impact on production throughput.
- Provide effective communication through reports to Senior PDM Management as requested
- Ensure staff compliance with group, department and PDM policies and procedures, confers with senior management, if necessary

Requirements
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of building and operating mission critical computing environments is preferred. Strong knowledge of industry, best practices around performance, and security best practices preferred.
- Experience directly managing teams and personnel. Knowledge of hybrid infrastructure, Windows, Office, SharePoint, Ubiquiti, Dell, web, and third-party application/hardware technologies is preferred.
Education: This position requires a college degree or equivalent experience. Additional years of related experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.
Experience: Manufacturing background preferred
