District 27 is seeking an enthusiastic and child-centered speech-language pathologist. This position will be working part-time as a member of a transdisciplinary team to support students with disabilities. We are seeking candidates with experience working with students who have complex needs and are multi-modal communicators, skilled in Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC), and motivated to support students in all aspects of communication and language development. This position will work closely with a few special education teachers to deliver special education and related services in various ways, including co-leading small groups, supporting students in general education, and providing insight and expertise to the team as a whole. This position will likely support students across two of our buildings, requiring some local travel.
Northbrook School District 27 is a professional learning community with approximately 1,300 students across three schools, educating students to succeed in a changing world. Qualified candidates should possess a valid IL PEL with an SLP endorsement. Preferred candidates will have at least two years of prior experience.
Salary and benefits for this position are covered by the District 27 Negotiated Agreement between the Board of Education and the Teachers Association. Salary will be determined based on experience and level of education. Multiple medical benefit plans are available to employees and are considered exemplary compared to those of other districts.
