This is a temporary full-time role supporting the company's accounting operations, including payment processing, month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit preparation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Process wire and check payments-including large batches, weekly disbursements, and urgent payments.
- Set up and maintain payment templates; deposit checks and perform cash application in Oracle.
- Perform month-end AP and PO close for assigned entities; generate required reports (AP aging, uninvoiced reports, AP/PO summaries).
- Reconcile AP accounts and prepare the monthly open PO accrual report.
- Download and review credit card reports; verify department and GL account coding for accuracy.
- Update FX balance sheet and average rates in Oracle.
- Process commission and other invoices in preparation for payment.
- Research and resolve check-related issues; validate account reconciliations against financial statements.
- Upload approximately 15 accrual entries into Oracle and prepare supporting documentation for audits.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or book-keeping.
- Hands-on experience with accounts payable, cash applications, and account reconciliations.
- Experience with month-end close processes and accruals.
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills when working with internal teams, other departments, and external vendors.
