JV VOLLEYBALL COACH - SEASONAL PART-TIME presso DE LA SALLE HIGH SCHOOL OF CONCORD INC

Primary Role

PRIMARY ROLE

• Works collaboratively and cooperatively with faculty, staff, administration, and parents.
• Dependable, detail-oriented and be willing to work within a coaching staff environment.
• Believes in the work of Lasallian Catholic education and shows evidence of developing the whole person through activities that help students grow in mind, body, soul, and spirit.

The role of the JV Volleyball Coach is the implementation of program-wide goals and objectives through positive coaching on and off the court.  The position is responsible for teaching and strengthening athletes’ fundamental knowledge of the sport while also introducing advanced concepts. All coaches are responsible for creating and nurturing a physically, and emotionally safe environment for their athletes. 

In addition, the JV Volleyball Coach will be responsible for character development and providing direction to student-athletes so that they might achieve a high level of skill as well as an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork in Volleyball. The person in this role is required to interact thoughtfully and respectfully with student-athletes, fellow coaches, staff, parents, and the community, as well as follow the mission of the school.

Qualifications

All coaches are required to get fingerprint clearance as well as TB clearance PRIOR to starting coaching. They have 30 days to complete all required certifications, including, but not limited to, CPR/First Aid certification, CIF - Fundamentals of Coaching Certification, Concussion Training, and Anti-Harassment Training.

 Stipend Range: $4,000 - $6,000: Stipend paid at end of season
