The Director of FP&A is a key role helping to provide insight into the business through financial modeling and analytics.  This position directly supports the forecast and budget process and interacts directly with corporate and regional leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Lead the monthly financial closing, including completion of corporate closing and investor relation materials and presentations that describe the performance of the business across market, construction type, billing types, etc.
  2. Directly support regional leadership in all financial planning functions including annual budget collection, quarterly forecast collection and month end variance analysis.
  3. Host monthly business reviews with regional leadership covering revenue and expense results, unit results (connect and churn) to call out potential issues to allow for course correction.
  4. Work with SVP of FPA to create and maintain consolidated results package.
  5. Support SVP of FPA and other team members by sharing best practices within the regions supported.
  6. Work with BI team to develop standard reporting combining units and financials.
  7. Support regional leadership with ADHOC data requests.
  8. Provide input into staffing modeling utilizing unit forecasts.
  9. Evaluate sales compensation plans for effectiveness and efficient use of expense.
  10. Prepare analytics and business cases in support of unique business initiatives.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and senior management to influence behavior and decision making.
  12. Appropriately assess potential financial risks when business decisions are made.
  13. Build partnerships and collaborate across the company with functional and geographic leaders.
  14. Drive functional initiatives that support scale across the company.
  15. Other duties as required or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred)
  • At least 10 years of professional experience including time leading a finance function
  • Private company experience preferred
  • Expert level MS Excel, MS Access and SQL skills. Basic understanding of Hyperion / Essbase
  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to build high performance teams that can operate in a high growth environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and proven experience in cultivating collaborative working relationships with teams across an organization
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Industry related experience strongly preferred
