The Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining efficient transit operation schedules that ensure optimal service delivery, resource utilization, and workforce allocation. This role utilizes analytical and scheduling tools to design service plans that strike a balance between operational effectiveness, employee work assignments, and organizational objectives.


Key responsibilities include building bus and rail schedules, creating vehicle blocks and operator work assignments, and analyzing operational data to improve service reliability and efficiency. The Scheduler uses specialized scheduling software and performance metrics to evaluate route productivity, identify optimization opportunities, and ensure compliance with labor agreements and service standards.


This role collaborates closely with operations management, labor relations, and planning teams to align service schedules with business goals and customer needs. The Scheduler continuously reviews and refines scheduling configurations to accommodate service changes, special events, or seasonal fluctuations while maintaining high-quality service and cost control.


Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in data analysis, and the ability to translate operational data into accurate and efficient scheduling solutions that enhance system performance and customer satisfaction. 

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Engineering, or related field.

Six (6) years of experience in system development, operation analysis, and expertise in logistics.
