QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Educational Requirements –
1. Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Must meet one of the following:
Completed at least 2 years (60 semester hours) of study at an institution of higher education, OR
Earned an associate’s degree, OR
Passed approved Basic Skills examinations.
Minimum General Requirements –
Ability to follow and support instructional leadership and educational planning.
Ability to organize, implement, and support small-group instructional activities.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and families.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and support the academy’s goals and strategic initiatives.
Understanding of student developmental, social, and academic growth patterns.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must pass a criminal background check in accordance with Board of Directors policy.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
This position exists to support assigned students in making progress toward their academic, behavioral, and developmental goals.
