Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to Retail Operations and Sales Organization with Finance related financial matters and analysis
- Serve as the primary contact for the department, Finance leadership, and for accounting/finance related questions and department initiatives
- Liaison between business/Finance, Regional Accounting Service Center (RASC), and Kroger Accounting Service Hutchinson (KASH) to ensure proper accounting procedures
- Provide budget information for assigned operational/finance expenses to divisions
- Ensure alignment between G.O., divisions and Finance teams on targets for assigned operational/finance expenses
- Manage the financial forecasting process and provide insights for assigned departments
- Prepare periodic financial reports and analyses for division/department within their areas of responsibility
- Identify opportunities to leverage and create financial best practices
- Ensure assigned departments are properly handling financial transactions and accounting policies/procedures are being followed
- Develop training material to coach and train assigned teams on accounting/finance topics
- Prepare ad hoc reports of financial transactions into accurate timely reports
- Complete period analysis reporting and provide relevant insights for distribution
- Calculate financial returns on minor business/Finance initiatives
- Participate in the strategic direction and help calculate financial returns on major assigned department initiatives; assist in the preparation of financial information which will be presented by executive leadership
- Serve as the business owner of Essbase Progress Report process for assigned departments; ensure proper administration /accurate reporting
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree accounting, finance, or related field
- Any demonstrated success in identifying trends, results and outcomes
- 5+ years of experience with management responsibilities in Accounting or Finance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Business Objects, and Essbase
- Excellent planning, organizational, and follow-up skills with close attention to detail
- Ability to identify business problems and develop efficient and effective solutions
- Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and software
- Ability to learn and operate Kroger programs and systems
- Excellent administrative, communication, and organizational skill with high attention to detail
Desired
- Master's Degree business administration
- Any division level and/or Regional Accounting Service Center experience, or other financial/accounting related experience
- CPA certification
