Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5 HR and administrative professionals.
- Oversee daily HR operations, including onboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits, compliance, and leave management.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex HR issues and partner with leaders on employee relations and organizational decisions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team on organizational design, leadership capability, and workforce strategy.
- Translate business goals into people strategies that drive performance, engagement, and retention of high performers.
- Build scalable, tech-enabled HR systems and processes to support a growing, data-driven organization.
- Oversee the full talent lifecycle — workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, career development, and retention.
- Design competency-based frameworks to support fair pay, career growth, and internal employee mobility.
- Partner with Finance to align headcount, labor costs, and performance metrics with business goals.
- Monitor and report on workforce analytics (e.g., revenue per employee, turnover, internal fill rates).
- Lead performance management programs, including Weekly10, 30/60/90-day review, and state of the workforce assessment cycles.
- Champion a feedback culture grounded in radical candor, accountability, and growth.
- Use data and calibration tools (such as 9-box) to ensure strategic leadership focus and consistency in evaluations.
- Oversee compensation strategy, ensuring both market competitiveness and internal equity throughout the organization.
- Manage payroll and benefits programs, including vendor management, package design, and partnering with Finance to optimize total labor costs.
- Evolve rewards and recognition programs that enhance engagement and retention.

- Implement and optimize HR technology, automation, and analytics to improve decision-making and employee experience.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in HR innovation, AI, and workforce analytics.
- Oversee compliance across multi-state operations, ensuring adherence to employment laws and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and maintain policies that foster inclusivity and safety.
- Manage employee relations with fairness, discretion, and consistency.
- Develop and maintain policies, handbooks, and training that support a safe, inclusive, and compliant workplace.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 4+ years in HR leadership.
- Expert-level understanding of HR principles, compliance, and employment law.
- Proven ability to balance strategic planning with high-volume, hands-on execution.
- Experience in high-growth, multi-site operations. A plus if that experience is in manufacturing or distribution.
- Familiarity with Paychex, Smartsheet, and other HRIS platforms.
- SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification.
