Duties
At the full performance (GS-7) level you will perform the duties below, but not limited to the following:,Responsible for providing comprehensive health services for the Hearing Conservation Program for the installation and all test sites which operate Defense Occupational Health and Environmental Readiness System - Hearing Conservation equipment.,Ensure that test sites are adequately staffed for the mission with personnel and supplies.,Prepare documents, letters of instruction, and other correspondence regarding implementation and compliance in a time sensitive manner.,Coordinate coverage, inspectors, and final reports for installation-level inspection programs.,Evaluate program effectiveness using current unit compliance metrics and assigned strength data.,Use automated systems to manage and monitor approximately 25,000 military and civilian personnel routinely exposed to hazardous noise levels.

To Qualify for the GS-06: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) assists with operating audiology equipment, 2) assists with recording test results in automated systems and 3) performing administrative functions in support of a clinic or program while under close supervision. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). To Qualify for the GS-07: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) operating audiology equipment, 2) recording test results in automated systems and 3) performing administrative functions in support of a clinic or program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
