Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

We are a high-growth AI company building the future of a core business function through a real-time conversational AI platform. Our platform serves both consumer-facing (the user experience) and enterprise-grade (data aggregation and analysis) software. We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to be a founding, hands-on builder in a small, passionate team.

As a hands-on engineer, you will own the development of high-impact features across our entire stack—from optimizing latency for real-time video conversations to building robust enterprise data analysis tools and integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build Full-Stack Features: Develop both consumer-facing and enterprise-grade software using React (TypeScript) for the front end and Python for the backend.
• Optimize Performance at Scale: Tackle complex systems challenges, such as decreasing interviewer response latency to sub-200ms and scaling our infrastructure to support thousands of simultaneous interviews while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Enterprise Integration & Data: Design solutions to integrate with customer’s internal hiring systems. Build fast, beautiful interfaces to present complex interview data visually for enterprise users.
• Implement AI Infrastructure: Work with Python to design and optimize underlying systems, including Vector Databases for handling complex candidate queries and leveraging asyncio for high performance.
• Infrastructure and DevOps: Utilize modern cloud technologies like Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker to drive system reliability and scalability.
• Drive Product Iteration: Rapidly implement a wide variety of feature requests, collaborating closely with the product team to launch products that impact people's careers.

Requirements

This senior role demands technical versatility, a high degree of ownership, and a passion for building complex, real-time systems.

• 3–7 years of full-stack engineering experience at a senior level or equivalent.
• Deep expertise in a modern front-end framework, preferably React (TypeScript).
• Strong backend skills with Python, including experience with performance-critical code and asynchronous programming (asyncio).
• Experience with SQL (Postgres) and designing robust database schemas.
• Hands-on experience with cloud and DevOps tools (Azure, Kubernetes, Docker) for scaling high-availability applications.
• Experience with or deep interest in vector databases, conversational AI, or real-time data processing.

Work Policy:

• This is a full-time, in-person role located in San Francisco, CA.
