The Branch Operations Officer is responsible for leading operations, sales execution, service quality, and staffing for a high-volume branch. This role oversees complex operational environments, drives branch performance through strong sales leadership, ensures an excellent customer experience, and develops a high-performing team. The position works closely with Retail Leadership, Treasury Management, Commercial/Ag Lending, and the Senior Branch Operations Officer. While this position works primarily during the week, some Saturday morning hours will be required.
Operations Management & Efficiency

Oversee opening/closing procedures, cash management, operational accuracy, and loss mitigation.

Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and audit requirements.

Monitor KPIs to adjust staffing, workflows, and operational performance.
Sales Leadership

Lead in-branch sales execution and coach staff to achieve sales goals.

Collaborate with Treasury Management, Commercial/Ag Lending, and Retail partners to deepen relationships.

Manage a customer portfolio with proactive outreach and needs-based conversations.

Drive the SOAR business development program and support shared hiring across the market.
Customer Experience & Service Quality

Monitor service levels and ensure consistent, high-quality customer interactions.

Use data trends (traffic, call volume, customer feedback) to improve staffing and service delivery.

Assist with complex customer issues and ensure resolution within policy and compliance standards.

Coach staff in service excellence and advanced customer interaction skills.
Leadership & Team Management

Hire, train, coach, and evaluate branch staff to ensure strong performance and accountability.

Lead a diverse team with clear communication, feedback, and development support.

Promote a positive, collaborative culture focused on results and service excellence.

Coordinate cross-branch staffing support for market needs.
Financial & Market Performance

Monitor branch financial results and take action to meet targets and budget expectations.

Support accurate financial, operational, and sales reporting.

Participate in market-level planning and execution of strategic initiatives.
Risk, Compliance & Security

Ensure compliance with operational policies, legal requirements, and audit findings.

Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and customers.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

4–7 years of branch or retail leadership experience, preferably in high-volume settings.

Strong operational and compliance knowledge.

Proven sales leadership and customer service excellence.

Experience coaching and developing teams.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Experience with business banking or Treasury Management is a plus.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and banking systems.
