We are looking for a talented Skilled Technician to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for Maintenance Department in Darlington, UK
This is a permanent on-site role, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 8am – 4.30pm with possible shift work depending on workload and business needs.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Applies high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship.
- Support equipment failure analysis.
- Performs work in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and specifications using various tools, measuring and testing instruments.
- Provide feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system.
- Ensures all process documents and quality procedures are updated and acts as a resource to provide help to others.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Knowledge of IT and PLC, systems networking
- Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.
- Providing support for the interface between MES and our PLC network.
- Configuring OPC servers to add new MES stations to the system.
- Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
- Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.
- Recognizes controls related hazards in a manufacturing environment (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic) to incorporate safe practices and procedures as part of the daily work plan.
- Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Education/ Experience:
- HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic or Mechatronic or in IT/Computing or a related subject.
