Job Description
The Mould Maintenance Sr Engineer possesses high technical knowledge of Mould mechanical functions and maintenance processes in combination with strong analytical skills. This position has a key role, which includes decision making regarding technical solutions and innovative alternatives and processes improvements. Must be able to understand in depth all the physical and technical processes performed at the Mould Maintenance area and their impact in a local and global scale, as well as a clear idea of how all of these bring value to the LEGO Group strategy, activation plans and department initiatives in order to execute them or challenge them. Must be capable to analyze data, detect critical trends, use LCI tools to drive and lead improvement projects, perform advanced problem solving and share this knowledge locally and globally.
Core Responsibilities:
- To lead the Guaranty Acceptance Test process and support mould technicians in order to detect opportunities or defects in the mould and drive claims with responsible areas.
- To lead and drive problem solving for issues related to mould malfunctions focusing on root causes and determine when the problem should be approached with advanced continuous improvement tools.
- To collaborate with global moulding maintenance teams by driving topics such as: mould design issues and improvements, act as spare parts liason with suppliers, internal and external claims, moulds with low efficiency and special cases.
- To coach mould repairmen in advanced solutions for corrective maintenance and troubleshooting and support mould cleaners in process improvements.
- To actively challenge processes from stakeholders like MQ, RU, PUW, CHO and Production in order to maintain moulds’ integrity and improve internal processes efficiencies.
- To drive technical projects and implementations aligned with the business strategy and local initiatives.
Do you have what it takes?
- Experience in Mould Maintenance or Moulding Production environment.
- Highly analytical and proved continuous improvement knowledge.
- CAD/CAM experience.
- Advanced excel application.
- Lean Manufacturing strong skills and continuous improvement tools knowledge.
- English Fluent Level.
