Key responsibilities involve coordinating activities like receiving and shipping, training and evaluating employees, maintaining accurate records, and optimizing efficiency to meet company standards. They act as a liaison between warehouse staff and management, coordinate with other departments, and ensure that all operational policies and safety regulations are followed.
Core responsibilities
Staff management: Supervise, train, evaluate, and schedule warehouse staff; assign daily tasks and workloads.
Inventory control: Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy of goods.
Operational oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, packaging, and shipping goods.
Safety and compliance: Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and that all staff adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
Efficiency and optimization: Monitor performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to increase efficiency and decrease costs.
Coordination: Coordinate with other departments, such as logistics and procurement, to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
Administrative duties: Handle administrative tasks, prepare reports, and maintain necessary paperwork related to warehouse operations.
