As a Quality Management System (QMS) Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with international standards and maintaining certifications such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AS9120.
This position is responsible for driving regulatory adherence, sustaining quality systems, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across operations in Mexico.
In this role, you will lead and sustain certification programs and audit readiness for automotive and aerospace operations in Mexico, drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with quality standards, provide leadership to assigned employees, defining roles and validating deliverables.

The impact you will make in this role
Oversee implementation, maintenance, and audit readiness for ISO 9001, IATF, and AS9120 certifications. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for product commercialization and distribution in Mexico.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Distribution, Business, Customer Operations, Procurement, Legal) to resolve quality and compliance issues.
Lead internal and external audits, corrective actions, and performance monitoring to maintain QMS integrity.
Host and support External, Customer, Product and Social Responsibility audits, training process Management, mandatory for ISO Certifications
Plan and execute Quality System Management Review, one for each Certification
CAPA Monitoring and analysis to identify opportunities to improve
QMS Change management, QMS Objetives and KPI Monitoring and analysis to identify opportunities to improve
Management and monitoring of Certification Bodies (contract review, audit program, concerns, central contact)
Coordinate and lead Management Review activities as part of the Quality Management System (QMS) governance process. This includes preparing performance data, compliance metrics, and audit results for leadership review, ensuring alignment with ISO 9001 and corporate standards. The QMS Supervisor will facilitate cross-functional input, document decisions, and track action plans to drive continuous improvement and regulatory compliance
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Quality Engineering, and/or related fields is required
ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 certification experience is required
Minimum 3 years of experience in quality management systems and regulatory compliance
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities in English (intermediate/advanced level)
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Strong knowledge of AS9120 standards, APQP and PPAP
Leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional collaboration
Analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities
Work Location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at San Luis Potosí.
