Expression of Interest – Clothing Store Team Member (Full-Time)
Location: RAAF TINDAL
Start Date: January 2026
Reporting to the Regional Manager, this position offers an opportunity to join our Clothing Store team as an essential part of Ventia’s National Clothing Store Services contract. You’ll work closely with Air Force members and Ventia national clothing stores personnel ensuring high-quality delivery of clothing and uniform services.
This is a permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week, Monday to Friday) with standard work hours from 7:30am–4:00pm.
The position offers a pay rate of $28.86 per hour, plus superannuation.
Role Overview
This role will start primarily as a Seamsperson, with training for store attendant scheduled to commence in March 2026.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide customer service and over-the-counter sales for uniforms.
• Maintain accurate records of customer orders.
• Measure and fit customers for clothing items.
• Assist with sewing tasks such as hemming, alterations, medal mounting, and sewing of ranks, insignia, and badges.
• Operate computer systems and contribute to general store duties.
Skills & Attributes
• Defence background knowledge is highly regarded.
• Experience in a customer service environment.
• Basic sewing skills preferred; additional training provided.
• Tailoring, hand-stitching, or sewing experience desirable but not essential.
• Familiarity with standard or heavy-duty sewing machines an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
• Basic computer and administrative skills.
