An excellent opportunity has arisen for the position of Warehouse Team Manager x 2 to work on the IKEA contract, Rathcoole Dublin. The positions will be assigned on the NS Shift (10pm-06am, any 5 from 7 days.) 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate & supervise the team on-site, to achieve planned targets and deadlines, exceeding where possible.

  • Demonstrate best practice across all areas of responsibility, inspiring people to engage and deliver key business results.

  • Mentor the team to allow them to grow their skills and promote development within the team and manage team performance. 

  • Manage any disciplinary issues within the team including conducting meetings as required, in collaboration with HR.

  • Conduct return to work interviews for all absenteeism and escalate any issues to HR.

  • Organise and confirm daily labour according to volumes of work in consultation with the Shift Manager / Operations Manager.

  • Ensure all the necessary training is provided to each employee and ensuring all team members have up-to-date Individual Training Plan, which caters for a multiskilled team.  

  • Identify and report all operational problems to the Shift Manager on a regular basis, making recommendations for improvement.

  • Analyse reports against KPI targets and advise on action to improve results.

  • Ensure Quality of work practices and stock issued to customers.

  • Develop and maintain a highly productive and committed workforce through the promotion and encouragement of open communication.

  • Conduct weekly one to one meetings with team members, covering KPI’s and a general check-in.

  • Ensuring all Health and Safety requirements are adhered to, with regard to MHE, Fire Precautions and Hazard and Near Miss Reporting. Escalate any H&S concerns where necessary to the H&S Manager via the necessary reporting tools. 

  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation within the warehouse. 

  • Must be prepared to work in multiple factions within the operations, supporting and / or acting as a working Team Member as and when required.

  • Deliver operational and safety briefings as required and conduct daily shift roll call and resource / task allocation etc.

  • Must be proficient and prepared to use and train staff on various IT systems as required e.g., Timewise, Kronos, Oracle Cloud etc

 

Experience, Skills and Attributes:

 

  • Previous experience of managing a team preferably in a warehouse environment an advantage.

  • Effective communication skills at all levels.

  • Excellent knowledge of English (verbal/written).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Experience in use of Power BI advantageous.

  • Results driven with excellent attention to detail critical.

  • Ability to provide realistic solutions/suggestions to problems or areas of improvement such as KPI’s.

  • Commercial Awareness.

  • Ability to motivate, energise and lead a team of staff.

  • Excellent attitude to customer service critical.
