About the role
Key responsibilities
- Develop and formulate stable, high-performing flavour solutions tailored to savoury food and beverage applications.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Kerry, including EUMs (End-Use Markets), to align flavour development with customer needs.
- Participate in technical presentations and product demonstrations for clients, showcasing flavour performance and innovation.
- Conduct daily organoleptic evaluations of raw materials as part of ongoing flavourist training and sensory development.
- Maintain a working knowledge of global flavour regulations, labeling requirements, and compliance standards.
- Support senior flavourists in internal and external flavour development projects, contributing to concept creation and execution.
- Engage in sensory panels and other developmental activities to refine flavour perception and profiling skills.
- Continuously study flavour chemistry, raw material interactions, and formulation techniques to enhance expertise.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in flavour development, preferably in savoury applications.
- Proven track record of successful commercial flavour creation and project management.
- Prior experience working with savoury flavour profiles is essential.
- Ability to independently lead flavour projects from concept to commercialization.
- Skilled in leveraging Kerry’s proprietary technologies to deliver differentiated flavour solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and adaptability in dynamic environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrates professionalism, flexibility, and a proactive approach to continuous learning.
