Position DetailsWe are now seeking an experienced and people-focused Operations Manager – Convenience to lead our Convenience & QSR (Quick Service Retail) operations at our Lurnea facility in Sydney. This is a high-impact leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, loves operational excellence, and knows how to bring out the best in teams.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing end-to-end state operations for our Convenience & QSR network—ensuring safe, compliant and cost-effective warehousing and transport outcomes.
Through strong leadership, smart planning and a customer-first mindset, you will ensure our customers receive exceptional service, from warehouse to store delivery.
You will play a pivotal role in driving site performance, building high-performing teams, elevating safety and quality standards, and delivering continuous improvement initiatives.
What you’ll be responsible for
In this role, you will:
Lead multi-temperature warehousing and route distribution operations across a 7-day retail logistics network
Ensure safe, compliant and efficient execution of daily operations, aligned with FSANZ, HACCP and CoR requirements
Manage labour planning, equipment and cost controls to maximise profitability and contract value
Build strong partnerships with customers, suppliers and transport teams to ensure service excellence
Develop and mentor supervisors and admin teams to achieve performance, growth and capability outcomes
Drive innovation and continuous improvement across systems, processes and ways of working
Analyse weekly performance, identify variances and implement corrective actions
This is a hands-on leadership role where your decisions and initiatives will directly impact customer satisfaction, operational performance and site culture.
What you bring
We’re looking for a proven leader with:
Extensive experience in logistics/transport/distribution operations, incorporating a fast-paced retail logistics (DC environment)
Strong understanding of multi-temperature operations and route-based distribution networks
Excellent financial and commercial acumen—confident managing P&L, KPIs and labour costs
Highly developed leadership skills—you build capable, engaged and accountable teams
Experience working within regulatory frameworks and safety, quality and legality requirements
Strong problem-solving ability and a calm, solutions-based approach in high-pressure environments
Advanced systems capability (Microsoft Office, WMS, TMS)
