The Opportunity
Downer’s Energy & Utilities team is seeking applications for an Electrical Apprentice in Uungula NSW (near Twelve Mile and Uungula Rd), starting in mid-January 2026. As part of this role, you’ll be part of a dedicated crew supporting substation builds and high-voltage network upgrades across our sites on a DIDO (Drive In: Drive Out) roster. You will also be involved in cable pulling, HV installations, and other critical infrastructure works. This role offers flexibility and exposure to real-world electrical work in a dynamic environment as well as other sites and projects as part of Downer’s Energy & Utilities sector.

About You

• Drivers Licence
• Completed Year 10 or higher (Year 12 preferred) with Pass marks in Maths & English
• Willingness to travel to different projects / sites as part of the apprenticeship programme
• Keen to learn and work in a hands-on environment
• Self-motivated and able to take constructive feedback
• A reliable team player who values safety and wellbeing—for yourself and your crew
