Project Engineer- Civil/ Pipelines presso Social Infrastructure and Citizen Services

The opportunity

We are excited to be seeking a Project Engineer with strong civil and pipeline experience for our expanding delivery team, to oversee a portfolio of water and wastewater projects, varied in scope and size. You will be integral to the design, procurement, contract administration and claims processes, driving best possible outcomes whilst mentoring future talent across the program. This is a full-time permanent position working on site in Morayfield on a Monday to Friday roster with a tool of trade vehicle provided. 

What you’ll do

• Provide technical advice to the Project Delivery and wider program teams 

• Provide input to project controls reporting on project performance and progress

• Assist in the identification of potential hazardous site activities and ensure appropriate procedures and control are implemented

• Assist with the design process to ensure the timeliness of the completion of drawings approved for construction

• Undertake on-going 'fit for purpose' reviews to determine constructability of design 

• Deliver projects as per the project management plans, drawings and specifications 

• Ensure that “lessons learnt” during project completion are recorded and communicated to the wider team

• Assist in review of subcontract progress claims, extensions of time and variations

• Assist with negotiations of the purchasing and engagement of suppliers and subcontractors

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years’ project engineering experience within civil and pipeline industries.

• Water and wastewater experience preferred

• Experience managing subcontractors

• Experience developing scope of works 

• Experience in developing subcontract agreements 

• Demonstrated ability in financial management and reporting, including budgeting

• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage schedules 

• Experience in driving quality outcomes in project delivery
