Position Overview:
The Merchandising Specialist supports the merchandising team in developing and executing strategies to maximize product visibility, sales, and profitability. This role involves coordinating between various departments, analyzing sales data, and ensuring the efficient execution of merchandising plans.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage the planning and implementation of merchandising strategies.
Assist Senior Manager of Merchandising in ideating and procuring promotional products, accessories, and apparel for company culture and events.
Collaborate with vendors to source and quote branded merchandise.
Provide support to Senior Manager of Merchandising, ensuring schedules are met and merchandise is delivered by outlined dates.
Conduct market research and stay ahead of industry trends; maintain knowledge of retail trends and consumer behavior.
Provide excellent customer service during interactions with employees throughout all internal branches and assist with special requests and orders.
Manage the setup of new items in systems.
Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Oversee internal merchandising inbox and communications requested through internal platforms.
Create presentations and quotes.
Assist in managing product assortments and seasonal transitions.
Research and identify potential vendors to diversify product offerings and execute creative and effective decoration strategies to attract and engage customers.
Participate in inter-departmental meetings to communicate updates and address any merchandising-related issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Retail, related field, and/or equivalent combination of education/experience.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position.
Experience in marketing, communications, and/or design is preferred.
Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills.
Excellent strategic thinking skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
