Inova Behavioral Health Center Fairfax is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist to join the CATS - IOP Merrifield team. This role is full-time (40 hrs/week) evening shift working 1230-9pm and Tue, Fri 830am-5pm. We offer great pay based on experience! Plus, don’t forget about our other amazing benefits and perks!

Behavioral Health Therapist 1- Job Responsibilities:
- The Behavioral Health Therapist 1 provides a range of mental health and/or substance use disorders therapeutic interventions, psycho-educational programming and behavioral interventions (when indicated) to assist the patient/family in achieving the goals and objectives of the individualized service plan.
- May participate in inpatient and community psychoeducational programs, facilitate support groups for specified disease processes related to mental health, medical diagnosis, chronic or life-limited illnesses while assisting with community outreach.
- Duties will be performed under the clinical supervision of an approved registered clinical supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Master's Degree, Ph.D., PsyD, or EdD in Mental Health, Social Work, Counseling, Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health-related field.
- Experience: Internship in mental health or substance use disorder treatment completed within 90 days of employment.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support required within 3months of hire
- Vistelar required within 6 Months of hire
- License: one of the following required within 5 years.
Must comply with the appropriate licensing board requirement for registering as a Resident in Training or Supervisee in Clinical Social Work or applicable title identified by the specific licensing board within 4 months of hire.
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC),
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT),
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW),
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP),
- Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP).
