Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the production area to ensure that production goals are met efficiently and effectively. This role involves planning work schedules, managing employee performance, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout the production process.
Essential Functions:
- Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
- Collaborates with other supervisors/managers to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments, including special projects to utilize labor and materials efficiently.
- Assists the production scheduler in developing a lead schedule that is productive and efficient.
- Performs workforce planning activities such as tracking employee attendance, managing time off requests and monitoring daily activities.
- Manages employee performance, providing coaching and feedback in line with company policies.
- Provides supervision and training to team members, ensuring they are fully equipped to perform their duties and follow safety protocols.
- Ensures the efficiency, accuracy, and timely completion of all scheduled production tasks.
- Monitors production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Ensures that fill height audits are conducted twice daily, especially for runs exceeding four hours.
- Verifies that product availability aligns with the production schedule by double-checking the schedule and product board.
- Communicates tank and batch numbers, along with other relevant details to line and end-of-line (EOL) team members.
- Ensures team members know their responsibilities during line breakdowns, product changes, moves to other lines, etc.
- Is present on the production floor approximately 50% of the time to support team members, and assist in troubleshooting, and ensuring efficient operations.
- Uphold all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), adherence to lock-out/tag-out procedures, and other safety regulations.
- Inspects line equipment while it is running for unusual wear, vibrations, and heat and oil leaks.
- Reviews and analyzes production-related data, including charts, work orders, and production schedules, to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Utilizes Redzone to document and communicate production metrics and machine downtime.
- Ensures that all required reports (e.g., label operator, QC reports, fill height checks) are completed and submitted at the end of each shift.
- Oversees the proper cleanup of production areas, including floors, trenches, bottling equipment, overhead conveyors, EOL. area, FOL. area, dumpsters, and compactor.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:
- Must have the ability to maintain current knowledge, skills and/or certifications relevant to assigned job responsibilities.
- 2-year degree or post-secondary training.
- 1-3 years of experience working in a leadership or supervisory capacity in a manufacturing setting.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Previous experience working in food production or packaging.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversees the 2nd shift production, bottle blowing and blending teams.
Work Location & Travel Required:
This position works on-site reporting to the Princeton location, and will be scheduled 4-5 days per week depending upon the production schedule.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Work is performed in a manufacturing setting (office and production floor). Must be able to tolerate working in a noisy environment while utilizing proper PPE and tolerate 90° heat. This position requires regular standing on hard surfaces for extended periods and walking throughout the facility. Must have the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time and the dexterity to frequently type on a keyboard is also required.

Starting Pay Range:
70,000 - 85,000 Annually
Where a candidate falls within the pay range will vary based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, education, skills and experience.
