Summary:  

The Project Engineer – Sales serves as the technical support for the Account Manager and Technical Service Engineer (TSE) team. They support the Account Manager and TSE in ensuring the technical wellbeing of customers regarding flow improver performance and quality, assisting with equipment installation and removal, and troubleshooting. Receives functional guidance from the Account Manager. Role is not limited to the above listed responsibilities and may include other duties as assigned.   

  

Responsibilities:  

  • Provides technical support in hydraulics and modeling to Account Manager, TSEs, and customers.  
  • Evaluates – independently or in conjunction with the ETS group – customer pipeline systems and provides predictions to Account Manager and TSEs  
  • Assists with conducting field tests of drag reducing agents  
  • In collaboration with Account Manager and TSE, assists customers in design, specification, installation/removal, and optimization of flow improver injection equipment and automation  
  • Troubleshoots moderate issues with product and equipment performance with limited supervision; enters and or monitors WOs for customer sites  
  • Contributes actionable ideas on upgrades to product and equipment  
  • Develop reliability metrics and reports for customers   
  • Contributes to continuous improvement and support of ISO Quality System  
  • Assists with preparing project updates for Account Manager and TSE customer presentations.   
  • Works with Sales team to maintain the accuracy of the projections of volume and skid resources needed for each account  

  

Required Skills & Competencies:  

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, preferred.  
  • Typically requires 2 years of experience.  
  • Basic understanding of fluid mechanics and, specifically, pipeline hydraulics, electrical power systems and automation/control systems  
  • Basic understanding of hydraulics and modeling  
  • Ability to effectively interface and problem-solve with customers and team members  
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with competing deadlines  
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word  
  • Good oral and written (electronic) communication skills  
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills  
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization  
  • Ability to travel 20-40% of the time  
  • Strong individual contributor with ability to collaborate
