Social Media/Product SME
JANSON is seeking an experienced Social Media/Product SME to join our team and support our Customized Communications division. This is a full-time position location on client site for 5 days/week at Fort Belvoir, VA. This position requires frequent travel to CONUS locations with occasional OCONUS travel.
This position requires a professional who is knowledgeable of and skilled in all aspects of digital and social media and will be responsible for implementing the client’s Social Media outreach. This individual must have first-hand knowledge of and experience with PEO Soldier clothing and equipment.
PEO Soldier’s mission is critical to the protection and effectiveness of Soldier’s across the globe. They develop, field, and sustain equipment that an individual Soldier wears and employs on the battlefield today and in the future.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of related experience
- Active SECRET Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in communications related field.
- Specialized and experienced in technical writing and familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, procedures, information security, data confidentiality and relevant software.
- Must be a self-starter, highly motivated and work well within a team and adapt to dynamic environmental changes.
- An excellent communicator, writer, strategic thinker and planner with strong problem-solving skills
- General knowledge of basic audio-visual equipment (live sound, recording, and video) a plus
- Passionate about their work and results driven.
- Strong technology skills, including experience using MS Office products, MS Project (or equivalent), web browsers and other technological resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage daily social media of client account and provide real-time responses to questions.
- Develop social media strategies and plans that contain approved messages and themes supporting clients desired outcomes.
- Qualitative and quantitative skills to provide client with customized analysis of how accounts are performing.
- Persona creation of audiences for targeted messaging.
- Development of social media campaign plans to highlight products, events, and messaging.
- Speak to external stakeholders about Army acquisition process and products for Soldiers.
- Conduct outreach to external and internal Army stakeholders by participating in outreach events.
- Strong knowledge about Army and Soldier equipment and the ability to speak to in-person/virtual audiences about it.
- Maintain product inventory and books.
- Ensure the consistency and accuracy of information of PEO Soldier products and programs being presented to customers, the general public, industry and to the Army Senior Leadership;
- Provide equipment briefings conducted at PEO Soldier and installations and conferences throughout the United States and Outside the Continental United Stated (OCONUS);
- Learning performance specifications and equipment descriptions on systems and programs with direct interface with Soldiers on the ground;
- Communicate projects or programs results to internal or external audiences at all levels;
- Function as the Event Coordinator in planning, coordinate, and executing all aspects of the marketing programs for large/small scale conferences, market related events, tradeshows, workshops and seminars;
- Support the mission of the total PEO Soldier exhibit support mission such as managing all aspects of events ranging from initial planning and after-action reports;
- Responsible for the exhibit schedule, drafting taskers and Letter of Instructions (LOIs) for events annually and will be integral in deciding the return on investment for PEO Soldier events;
- Assists with all aspects of internal and external communications and marketing outreach activities
- Conduct market research for conferences and other events;
- Manage the accountability/serviceability of the entire PEO Soldier display Equipment/Products;
- Managing the set-up of all exhibits and associated items (i.e.. panels, backdrops, displays, tables, computers, mannequins); and
- Acts as the Spokesperson for the various projects of PEO Soldier; Briefs and demonstrates the capabilities of new systems to Executive Senior Leaders, Senior Military Leaders, Congressmen, and Diplomats
