Orchard Farm School District is seeking a certified Instructional Coach to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year!  The Instructional Coach supports teachers and staff in implementing evidence-based instructional strategies that enhance student learning and literacy across all content areas.  This role serves as a collaborative partner, mentor, and instructional leader focused on continuous improvement and student success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research, teach, and model best practices used to address all Tiers of instruction
  • Collaborate with Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment department to apply the strategic plan to implement a guaranteed and viable curriculum across all content areas
  • Lead the implementation plan for Reading Success Plans in assigned building
  • Assist in the development and implementation of district curriculum, instruction, and assessment documents and materials
  • Facilitate weekly Professional Learning Team Meetings across grade levels and departments
  • Exhibit theoretical and research-based knowledge of language acquisition and child development through middle childhood
  • Have a thorough understanding of evidence-based instructional best practices
  • Plan and facilitate Tier 2 meetings
  • Participate in Tier 3 meetings as requested
  • Provide constructive feedback to teachers in their approach and instruction in literacy, math, and content
  • Work with teachers and administrators to develop and use appropriate strategies, implementation plans, and assessment tools to support all students
  • Assist with leading and implementing district and school-wide literacy, math, and content initiatives
  • Assist with implementing a researched based approach to teaching literacy, math, and content at tiers 1, 2, and 3
  • Assist teachers in utilizing a variety of on-going, instructionally-based assessments to inform and differentiate instruction
  • Participate in subject area committees (IAC)
  • Provide ongoing professional development to staff
  • Assist teachers in recognizing and responding to the multiple needs of the diverse learners in our district
  • Demonstrate instructional leadership and professionalism
  • Complete and submit forms and required reports in a timely manner
  • Assist in the selection and implementation of appropriate curriculum materials
  • Assist in the collection, analyzation, and maintenance of student benchmark and progress monitoring data across the building and district
  • Perform other duties assigned by Superintendent of Schools/Assistant Superintendent

Marginal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support special school events, family engagement activities, and district initiatives as needed.
  • Participate in occasional community and district meetings outside of regular school hours.

Supervisory Duties

Maintain visual and auditory supervision of students at all times to ensure safety and engagement.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Education or a related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience teaching and providing instructional support/intervention.

Valid Missouri teaching certificate in appropriate content area.

  • Proficient in digital tools for instruction, collaboration, and data management (e.g., Google Workspace, LMS, assessment software).
  • Able to integrate technology into instructional practices to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Operate classroom technologies such as interactive whiteboards, document cameras, and projectors.

Organizational and Problem-Solving Skills

  • Strong ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Flexible, solution-oriented, and able to adapt to changing instructional needs.

Salary Schedule - Salary is determined by years of experience teaching and degree per OFSD policy and procedure. 2026-2027 salary schedules will be updates upon Board of Education approval.  Position has contract extended days.
