STS Metals is a unified organization composed of five businesses working together to deliver high-quality titanium, stainless and alloy steel and nickel products. We proudly serve the aerospace, medical, industrial, and space industries with a commitment to innovation, manufacturing excellence, and superior customer service.

We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineering Intern to support the development of a structured test result database that enhances our ability to project material performance across multiple variables. This internship offers hands-on experience in aerospace materials analysis, quality systems, and data-driven engineering processes.

This tool will be used to analyze and predict material performance based on factors such as material size, chemistry, and forging method. The intern will also collaborate with testing vendors to establish direct data transfers and design control charts to monitor trends and ensure quality consistency.

Collect and organize material test data from multiple laboratories.

  • Develop a database that supports data visualization and performance projection.

  • Establish direct data feeds from testing vendors to streamline information flow.

  • Create and maintain control charts for ongoing monitoring of material performance.

  • Collaborate with quality engineers to validate and analyze data outputs.

  • Support additional quality improvement projects as assigned.

  • Currently enrolled in a Materials Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related degree program.

  • Coursework or prior project experience in metallurgy, materials characterization, or manufacturing processes preferred.
