Orchard Farm School District is seeking a highly qualified, self-motivated, student-centered teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year as the Innovations/Technology Teacher (K-4)! The successful team member will have an in-depth understanding of the teaching and learning process characterized by a comprehensive repertoire of instructional and assessment strategies. Elementary Education (1-6) certification is required, additional certifications preferred. In addition, the successful candidate will have an interest in Computer Science, Google applications, app inventor software, digital design, coding, robotics, 3-D printing, digital video creation and any and all programming and curriculum related to grades K-4 computer science. The successful candidate will continue to review the current curriculum and make appropriate recommendations as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree or higher
- Appropriate Missouri Teaching Certificate
- Knowledge of state standards, federal and state regulations and law
- Knowledge of subject matter content and assessment strategies
- Knowledge of best practices in curriculum and instruction
- Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents in a positive manner
- Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form
- Ability to follow written and oral communication
- Ability to problem solve
An individual who holds this position is required to:
- Provide instruction to students
- Create and implement a classroom management plan
- Create lesson plans and activities to implement and supplement instruction
- Participate in building, grade level and subject area committees
- Participate in professional development activities
- Maintain accurate student records
- Complete and submit forms and required reports in a timely manner
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and/or other educational concerns
- Participate as a member of an IEP team, 504 team or other student assistance teams as requested
- Implement special educational plans such as 504 plans, individual educational programs and individual health plans
- Report suspected abuse, neglect, discrimination and harassments as directed by Board policy
- Prepare lesson plans for use by a substitute teacher
- Subject area teachers may have additional duties and responsibilities

SALARY SCHEDULE Salary is based from years of experience teaching and degree per OFSD policy and procedure. 2026-2027 salary schedules will be updates upon Board of Education approval.
