General Summary: Manages the Accounting team. Is responsible for supporting the Director of Accounting in closing the books and managing the AP process to ensure vendors are paid timely and accurately. Supports the Director of Accounting in technical accounting duties related to Younique LLC. Is the Finance and Operations Administrator for NetSuite. Manages the filing of sales tax returns.
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepares and reviews journal entries.
- Prepares and reviews balance sheet reconciliations.
- Runs report for balance sheet completeness within FloQast and adds LLC assignments when necessary.
- Manages the monthly closing process for the LLC and ensures that deadlines are met.
- Calculates and records journals for Deferred Revenue and Ship Lag for the LLC and International Subsidiaries.
- Researches and resolves accounting discrepancies.
- Supports internal and external audits.
- Performs analytical review of P&L and balance sheet items and present on US financial numbers monthly.
- Reconciles the inventory accounts in NetSuite to inventory on-hand at 3PL’S.
- Manages payment process with specific duties to approve the ACH batch payments.
- Manages the intercompany relationships and invoicing for The Younique Foundation and the Maxfield Family Office.
- Prepares monthly invoice for the Commissions, Round-Up, and Payroll donations for The Younique Foundation.
- Looks for Process Improvements within the Accounting and AP teams.
- Manages payroll uploads and changes as the point contact between the Finance and HR teams.
- Supports and train Accounting and AP staff in various tasks.
- Manages the automated sales tax relationship with Sovos and ensures timely filing and correct rates.
- Manages the relationship for NetSuite with the Oracle team.
- Sets up and maintains the GL in NetSuite.
- Set up and assist on new market set up in NetSuite.
- Backup for setting up inventory items in NetSuite.
- Updates bill approvers and manages the delegation of authority.
- Supports third party modules connected to NetSuite.
- Oversees fixed assets.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- General knowledge of US GAAP.
- Management Experience.
- Preferred Skills:
- CPA and master’s degree preferred by not required.
- Public Accounting Experience preferred but not required.
- NetSuite Experience.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Great communication skills.
- Supervisory experience.
