The Physical Therapist is a licensed healthcare professional responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with movement dysfunction, pain, or physical impairments. This role involves conducting comprehensive patient assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering skilled therapeutic interventions to restore function, improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent further disability. The Physical Therapist utilizes evidence-based practice and clinical expertise to provide direct patient care, document progress, modify treatment approaches as needed, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes. This position requires independent clinical judgment, adherence to professional standards and state regulations, and a commitment to delivering high-quality rehabilitative care.

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops and monitors programs designed to improve the quality of health care delivery including outcome measurement and performed efficiencies.
  • Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional development to keep current in the latest health care trends and developments.
  • Will be able to answer questions from patients regarding their conditions and educate them on it within their scope of practice effectively and efficiently.
  • Records data through therapy session. 
  • Consults with unit coordinator or mentor regarding patient’s condition and treatment plan when necessary. 
  • Demonstrates appropriate safety measure when implementing treatment program.
  • Documents patient’s initial evaluation within the department guidelines. During the evaluation process, daily notes are required to reflect that days evaluation results. 
  • Must be able to function independently. 
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications or Education, Training and Experience

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program, based on current state and federal regulation.
  • Valid New Jersey Physical Therapist License.
  • 1-2 years of physical therapy experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills/Expected Competencies

  • Ability to stand, stoop, move and perform light lifting duties throughout the practice for the entire shift.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance.
  • Ability to clearly communicate medical information to professional practitioners and/or the general public.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, follow up, analytical and time management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal skills, sense of urgency, being proactive and ownership for one’s work.
  • Dependable, with strong work ethic and extremely high degree personal integrity.
  • Ability to deal with multiple interruptions on a continual basis that must be met with a friendly exchange with others.
  • Helpful and constructive view of working with others to achieve positive outcomes.

The compensation range for this position is $80,000-$100,000 depending on experience. Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. 

Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
