Overview:

SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Specialist to join our team in Fort Meade, MD in support of IT, Engineering & Logistics.

Responsibilities:
  • Schedule vehicle requests with instructors and staff through the Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) and assigned vehicles.
  • Inspect vehicles with requesters during the issue and turn-in of government vehicles. Inspecting proper fuel levels, cleanliness, and serviceability.
  • Work with TMP for vehicles requiring service. If vehicle is found to be unacceptable due to the listed conditions, report discrepancies directly to Government.
  • Operate a computer and peripherals to input, retrieve, and manipulate data, and to prepare correspondence, forms, and reports.
  • Ensuring the proper storage of items or goods stored in the warehouse.
  • Reserving space allocation for property and items or goods.
  • Ensuring that labels for goods are updated and accurate and that all goods and properties are stored in the correct location.
  • Ensuring that all receipts are processed in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that requested goods are delivered to the appropriate requester on time.
  • Properly identifying goods or items and correcting discrepancies related to their quality, nomenclature, identification, or part numbers.
  • Keeping accurate records of maintenance by physically counting and identifying items or goods in the warehouse or stockroom.
  • Keeping accurate and detailed records and ensuring that information or details about goods or items are correct.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Candidate must possess or be eligible for favorable T1 (NACI, national Agency Check) investigation.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management.
  • Knowledge of the principles, techniques, and practices related to supply systems, logistics management and functions, specifically property book operations and equipment regulations and procedures.
  • Knowledge of equipment authorization and requesting, reporting, and turn-in procedures to provide advice, ensure proper procedures are taken, and determine source of supply and availability.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of workers to clarify information or instructions and solve discrepancies or problems.
  • Must be proficient in communicating effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to lift 40lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active US Government security clearance.
