We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative (Hospice) in Irvine area who shares our passion for providing dignified, compassionate end-of-life care.
Shift Schedule: Full Time, PM shift, Monday and Tuesday from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Qualifications:
- One year experience dealing with the public via telephone or in person, preferably in a customer service or inside sales role
- Microsoft Outlook experience is required
- Typing 50 words per minute, managing records/files, basic computer skills (i.e. Forms, Labels, Excel, Outlook and Word). Need to have excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak clear English required
- Must exhibit empathetic communication style with patients, families, and associates
- Associates must have reliable means of transportation to consistently meet attendance and punctuality standards. This role does not require a valid driver’s license or personal vehicle unless specified in additional job requirements
What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for managing all aspects of the patient intake process including establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources and responding to customer requests and concerns
- Manages the insurance verification and authorization process
- Schedules appropriate staff to meet with patients/families to discuss hospice services in a timely manner
- Overcomes initial objections to hospice services
- General admission coordination, including coordinating hospital discharges
- Data entry, including keeping all admission tracking logs up-to-date
