Your contribution ensures the smooth running of daily operations and helps maintain strong, trusted relationships between Investment Managers and their clients.

This is a non-regulated role focused on the administration of client portfolios, handling queries, and liaising with internal departments. While you will assist in managing private client relationships, the core responsibilities are administrative in nature.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive administrative support to Investment Managers, identifying opportunities to improve team efficiency.
  • Assist with the opening and maintenance of client accounts, including the collection and verification of AML documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, and support the preparation of client suitability reports.
  • Communicate directly with clients and intermediaries (e.g., solicitors, accountants) as needed.
  • Monitor the progress of new investments and follow up on any issues or delays.
  • Liaise with the Accounts department regarding cash movements and process payments.
  • Manage client files throughout their lifecycle—setup, updates, and closure—ensuring data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Support onboarding of new clients by ensuring all documentation is completed and processed efficiently.
  • Lead or assist with ad hoc projects, such as gathering Know Your Client (KYC) information.
Qualifications & Experience
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English; A-Levels preferred.
  • An industry-recognised qualification (e.g., Investment Operations Certificate) is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a financial services or investment operations environment is desirable.
  • A general understanding of the stock market and investment processes is beneficial.
Skills & Attributes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and task ownership.
  • Collaborative team player with the flexibility to support multiple Investment Managers.
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude with a professional and personable manner.
