$96,498.00 - $135,094.00The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. GENERAL PURPOSE:Maintains 24 hour-a-day accountability for all patient care and nursing activities on assigned outpatient unit. Oversees and directs unit activities including standards development, human resource management, assessment of resource needs and utilization, staff development and communication within nursing practice as well as among other disciplines and departments. Oversees all performance improvement activities at the unit level and participates in committees at all levels within the institution.

The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing, managing, and supporting all aspects of clinical care and daily operations of multiple ambulatory clinics and interventional procedure suites where outpatient faculty in Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation care for patients. This role requires significant collaboration, communication and interface with the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Seeking a highly motivated individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on the use of technology in day-to-day operations. The primary objectives for this position are to ensure that all patients receive care consistent with the Medicine of the Highest Order standards, that patient care is delivered efficiently and effectively, and that the staff is recognized for their efforts. The NM is responsible for the direct management of the clinical team including RNs, LPNs, and Ambulatory Techs at our primary outpatient clinic at Clinton Crossing (CCH) as well as indirect management of our primary clinics and procedure suites at Marketplace and Strong West through physical presence, collaborative and communicative interface with Orthopedic Surgery nursing and administrative leadership. Serves as a member of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation leadership team working closely with the department program administrator and to ensure compliance with all established standards. The Nurse Manager directs all aspects of patient care, which includes managing nursing personnel and material resources in a cost-effective manner, unit planning and the initiation of innovative clinical and management practices with emphasis on retention strategies. Registered Professional Nurse, Bachelor’s degree, 3-5 years of experience in a health care administrative role in an organization of similar size and complexity with a significant level of accomplishment. Master’s degree required within 5 years of date of hire and an active New York State license in good standing.
