Job Summary: The position oversees multiple Firehouse Subs restaurants. This position will lead a restaurant management team responsible for meeting operational and organization objectives while adhering to brand standards. As the District Manager, you will have a unique opportunity to work closely with the corporate office and support team to provide support and feedback around improvement for all aspects of the business.  

Responsible to partner with HR and Ops LT for all people related decisions including but not limited to hiring, counseling, performance management, development, promotions, and terminations. Accountable for the cash management for each restaurant, inventory regulation, labor scheduling,  repairs and maintenance of restaurants, and cost analysis.  Also responsible for the onboarding processes for new employees. Has management responsibilities for team of professionals (includes people, budget and planning).

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for maintaining quality controls in regards to service, facilities, and operations and adhere to brand standard  

  • Responsible for restaurant profit and loss statements 

  • Manages restaurant profitability by improving sales, maintaining accurate cash counts and deposits, managing controllable costs, and executing plans to improve food cost and labor efficiency  

  • Responsible for onboarding and developing new managers and delivering training plans to assist in their development and performance 

  • Responsible for setting weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual team goals pertaining to sales, operations, and profitability 

  • Building a team of high performing team members and managers through recruiting and hiring great talent, and ensuring compliance around training programs  

  • Streamlines routine processes and follow ups across the region 

  • Reports sales forecasts, profitability and budget 

  • Conducts performance reviews with management teams 

  • Creates action plans to reach aggressive targets and close the gaps on key operations metrics including but not limited to OSAT, food quality, friendliness, traffic, and sales 

  • Conduct restaurant visits to review performance and store environment. Provide coaching to store management  

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business/related field and/or equivalent experience 

  •  Minimum 3 years previous multi-unit experience (QSR preferred) 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) 

  • Knowledge of basic financial concepts, operations management and leadership 

  • Skilled in directing and leading a team of professionals 

  • Ability to multi-task with conflicting priorities; ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing; ability to drive sales, improve operations in the restaurants, and deliver EBITDA targets 

  • Flexible schedule and ability to travel daily to assigned restaurats   

  • Ability to manage the overall operations and profitability of multiple stores
