Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful explanations for financial performance.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as required by management.
- General Ledger Management:
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger.
- Oversee account reconciliations, ensuring all balance sheet accounts are reconciled in a timely manner.
- Accounts Payable & Revenue Accounting:
- Supervise the Accounts Payable and Revenue Accounting functions, ensuring efficient processing and accurate record-keeping.
- Monitor cash flow and manage working capital effectively.
- Oversee billing, collections, and vendor payments.
- Compliance & Audit:
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and support external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Supervise, mentor, and train a team of 12-15 accounting professionals focusing on growth of these staff members.
- Foster a caring, collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and support professional development.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and improvements within the accounting department.
- Implement and optimize accounting systems and software.
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least five (5) years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software. QuickBooks, SAP (R3 or S4/ HANA) experience plus but not required.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Experience with retail accounting is a plus.
- Must speak, read and write Korean and English.

- $100,000–$110,000 annually
