Title: Accounting Coordinator (Nonprofit)
Location: Redmond, WA
Work schedule: Part Time, 32 hours/week or Full-time, 40 hours/week, Remote/Hybrid. Tues/Thurs are in-person onsite days at the Redmond center. Mon/Wed/Fri remote option. Typical Hopelink hours are Mon-Fri 9am-4pm or Mon – Fri 8am-5pm; this position has some schedule flexibility.

The career opportunity:
The accounting coordinator will record revenue and data entry in our database as a
critical finance role, maintaining stewardship and accuracy over all aspects of accounts receivables, including cash receipts, daily banking activity, and other reporting modules for Hopelink. Actively participates in regular finance meetings and attends applicable training as needed. This role is about tracking monies and using excel and staying organized.

- Associate’s degree in business, accounting, or related field; work experience may be substituted with demonstrated ability to understand accounting work.
- One year of general office experience, preferably in accounting.
- Professional communication skills.
- Excellent detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and has initiative to take assigned tasks to the next level.
- Computer/technology proficiency: ability to use MS Office 365, databases, intermediate excel and online systems including timekeeping, and program specific systems, etc.
Examples of what you will be doing:
- Complete bi-weekly bank deposit using desktop deposit system as well as cash deposits.
- Set up and upload bi-weekly Positive Pay transactions; download cleared checks, and set up new vendors.
- Set up and enter Cash Receipts and Accounts Receivable payments.
- Monitor Accounts Receivable and payments for assigned grants and contracts.
- Prepare monthly contribution report and other financial reports as assigned.
- Prepare monthly invoices and credit memos, tracking donations.
- Maintain organization’s certificates of insurance.
- Assist with annual audit and budget preparations as assigned by Controller.

- Compensation: $25/hour
- Up to 10 paid vacation and sick days annually and 10 paid holidays,
- Plus up to 7 paid float days available to use immediately; dependent on hire date and hours/week
