Airport Delivery Driver - Atlanta presso PUBLISHERS CIRCULATION FULFILLMENT

JOB SUMMARY

The Delivery Driver’s primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of periodicals and related products in the Atlanta region while maintaining client satisfaction and adherence to safety regulations.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre-trip safety inspections on all equipment.
• Verify and complete the required documentation and reports.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations and procedures.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate as required, including but not limited to: Delays, arrivals and equipment problems
• Demonstrate internal and external customer service.
• Oversee Airport Runner (AR) to assure proper delivery
• Comply with all applicable laws, safety standards, as well as company policies and procedures
• Loading and unloading of vehicle and confirming proper counts

Other Functions

• Other delivery related tasks as assigned- may need to service gate areas with delivery

• Extensive knowledge of geography and demographics of assigned area

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Technical and Functional

• Must maintain proper credentials for Airport delivery
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, manage and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to meet and/or exceed the established customer service objectives.
• Must have valid driver’s license in the state where residing.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator
• Clean Driving record required.

Required Physical Abilities  

•  Ability to lift and carry freight weighing up to 50 lbs

•  Able to operate delivery truck.

•  Ability to sit for extended periods of time and climb in and out of vehicle

•  Ability to follow instructions and complete the required training.

•   Ability to work independently and/or as a team member

•  Must be a minimum of 21 years of age

Working Environment

•  Able to meet deadlines and attendance standards.

•  7-day availability

•  Able to drive during early and late hours and in adverse conditions.
