Our Commercial Claims department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate these WCF Insurance values to join their team as a Supervisor, Commercial Property Claims. This is a full-time, exempt position available to qualified candidates in the Sandy, UT or fully remote option is available. This posting is open to internal and external candidates.

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of commercial property claims adjusters to support the claims adjusting, litigation, and case management function.
  • Manage a caseload of claims.
  • Audit claims, enter supervisory reviews in claims, and understand and report on performance of their team.
  • Prepare and participate in claim reviews and assist with training new and existing employees.
  • Review all types of claims settlements and liability denials for propriety, content, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with management to hire, train, motivate, supervise, and mentor a team of adjusters to support all aspects of claims functions.
  • Stay current on all relevant law and regulation changes.
  • Promote excellent customer service.
  • Maintain appropriate communication with internal and external contacts including attorneys, investigators, policyholders, agents, and providers.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and consistency in applying WCF's claims and state auditing standards.

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • Bachelor's degree or appropriate combination of insurance industry designations.
  • At least five years of commercial property claims adjusting experience.
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant claims statutes and case law.
  • Thorough knowledge of handling complex, litigated claims.
  • Strong understanding of terminology relevant to claims
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong organization, time management, and decision-making skills.

 

An exceptional candidate will have the following characteristics;

  • Advanced knowledge of Commercial Property insurance forms.
  • Experience with Commercial Inland Marine forms would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of case law and statutes related to First Party property settlements.
  • Advance knowledge of Symbility and Xactimate.
  • IICRC certified would be a plus.
  • Haag certified on roofing would be a plus.

 

WCF Insurance offers an extensive compensation package. Benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, company paid life insurance, 401K with a generous 6% employer match and additional benefits such as an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and time off to volunteer in the local community. All employees earn 4 weeks of vacation in their first year. Expected salary for this position is $90,000 - $125,000 depending on location, experience, and education.

 

An internal candidate should have six months in their current position, acceptable job performance, and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.
